Run2Play — our story.
Run2Play started in San Diego's Ocean Beach in the early 2010s as a community running project: get people moving, make it social, make the kilometres mean something. It became a company — Run2Play Inc. — building one of the first mobile apps to reward fitness activity as literal value ("RUNcoin"), with a mission pointed at childhood obesity and food insecurity. Trademarks were granted, an MVP shipped, and a volunteer team of thirty built it.
The name has been in continuous commercial use since 2014 — the domain run2play.com has public, dated records going back to 2013, with press coverage, investor materials, sponsorships, and community events throughout 2016–2019. That record matters to us: it's proof of who we are and where we came from.
